Modular Concept

We build what is needed – where it is needed

Modular Nexus consists of basic modules which can be combined into customized variants to meet the specific needs of the location.

The basic modules are multi-functional and can be can be combined in different variants and scales. The indiviual layout will be adapted to the to the exact needs with:

  • A layout that allows for both privacy and shared space
  • A strong focus on homeliness, visibility and overview for easy decoding of the room, common and outdoor areas
  • Functions that support internal contexts wisely i.e. optimization of shared areas like administration and functions used by many
  • Solutions that account for use, as well as operation and maintenance
  • Flexible interior design to be used in various contexts The modules can be combined using several variants and can be gradually changed. Modular Nexus always adapts to the local conditions and is laid out to allow easy expansion.

Construction Benefits

Quality and sustainability

Modular construction is fast, flexible, and easy to assemble. The industrial manufacturing of room-sized modules in a factory ensures efficient and rational construction. The degree of completion in the factory is high, which reduces execution time and the risk of delays due to weather considerably. At the same time, the risk of construction and consequential damage at the construction site is minimized.

The production method ensures complete control over the processes.

By producing in a factory, the safety and control that the construction complies with the given quality requirements is increased. This applies throughout the process, from purchasing materials, to the productions phase, to the moment the modules are transported to the construction site and is completed.

Foundations, supply lines, and construction on site are carried out in parallel with the production of modules at the factory to optimize execution time.

The construction processes and material consumption not only ensures a time optimized gain, but can also contribute to provable eduction of CO2 impact compared to concrete building.

We build for what’s needed

The modules can be adapted to different conditions and needs, making it possible to comply with local requirements and the need for different demands for housing, institutions and healthcare.

The modules ensure not only fast reconstruction, but also the adaptations to the local community and needs.

Example 1

Gound floor, separate use

  • Housing: 21 units – 1 floor
  • Public: Daycare and shared kitchen
Example 2

Two floors, separate use

  • Housing: 34 housing units – 1st and 2nd floor
  • Public: Daycare and Kitchen
Example 3

Multiple floors and shared use

  • Housing: 34 housing units – 1st and 2nd floor
  • Public: Daycare, Kitchen, Healthcare Center, and Administration

High quality, healthy environment

The advantages

Fast, flexible, scalable & sustainable

  • Speed – by building industrially under roof, Modular Nexus is independent from weather conditions. Onsite construc- tion can simultaneously be carried out, while the construc- tion is being produced in the factory
  • Flexible and scalable – housing and care for local needs
  • Capacity – One production line can produces up to 10-20 modules per week (around 400-800 m2 depending on the module size)
  • High degree of completion – the building can be put into use quickly and we reduces time onsite
  • Design for disassembly – Mpdular Nexus can be separated from each other again and used in other contexts.
  • Sustainable materials – low LCA footprint and healthy indo- or climate according to the Nordic Ecolabel standard, Sva- nemærket
  • Estimated service life (SBI) – same as load-bearing structu- res in brick and concrete

“The difference between our modular construction and traditional construction is process, method and logo design. At the same time, the delivery time is significantly shorter, because foundations, drains, connections, etc. on the construction site is prepared while the modules are manufactured.”
