Visit to a Geriatric Care Facility in Mykolaiv

Finn Djurslev visited a local geriatric care facility, where he gained insight into the current state of
infrastructure and the institution’s needs. The visit highlighted the importance of improving living
conditions for the elderly and expanding care facilities.

Today, over 110,000 elderly residents live in Mykolaiv, but the city has only one facility – “St. Nicholas City Geriatric Home of Mercy”, which has a capacity for 50 residents. This presents challenges for the social system, as infrastructure modernization is needed to ensure comfortable living conditions.

Key Development Areas:

  • Expanding access to geriatric care – creating new opportunities tosupport elderly residents
  • Modernizing social infrastructure – implementing modern standards
  • Exploring new approaches to housing design

We continue our efforts to improve infrastructure and social initiatives!
